USSA Alpine Official’s Advancement

Send your requests by 4/20/2017 for USSA Alpine Official’s advancement

Hello PARA Alpine Officials,

The Alpine ski racing season is over in PARA. Now is the time for you to send me your requests for USSA Alpine Official’s advancement in the different certifications.  I have attached the USSA AO Certification Guidelines 16-17 for your review. This document will provide you the criteria used for advancement so that you can determine if you qualify.

After reviewing the certification matrix and If you qualify, fill-out the attached form “AO Personal Activity Record”.  You can check your AO officiating record by going to the USSA website and query the “Member Lookup” or the Official Cert Viewer” database. You can also review your AO credentials in the same database. You will need a USSA login (MY USSA). You can contact USSA for help in creating an account.

Please send your completed “AO Personal Activity Record” to me at RBL4@psu.edu no later than Thursday, April 20, 2017. I will then review your record and if appropriate, I will nominate you at the Eastern Regional Alpine Officials Clinic for approval at the USSA National Congress in Early May.

Please note that for those who took and passed any USSA alpine specialty certification exams (RF, JA, TC, CC, CR, RA, DM, you were already provisionally credentialed for that certification. Also, for anyone who attended a PARA Alpine Official’s clinic this season, you earned a Competition Officials Certification level 1.

If you have any questions, you can email me or call me 570-640-7500.  Thank you for your dedication to PARA Alpine Officiating.
