Post Season Events - Coronavirus

Eastern Post Season Events are Being Cancelled

By now you should have received an email from the leadership at U.S. Ski & Snowboard that our domestic events will be canceled for the rest of the season:

"U.S. Ski & Snowboard is also cancelling all sanctioned and scheduled events beginning Monday, March 16."

As it stands now, any event that is currently in motion is free to continue if they so choose, but anything beginning on/after Monday is canceled. I'm leaving it up to the individual event juries and organizing committees to decide what the right approach is for their specific situation. If they are in motion and wish to continue through the weekend, I'm comfortable with that. If they choose to cancel before then, I'm comfortable with that.

This is as much guidance and information as I can provide at this point. Please see the U.S. Ski & Snowboard website for more information: https://usskiandsnowboard.org/news/us-ski-snowboard-coronavirus-covid-19-information

Greetings U14  athletes, parents, and coaches,

With the recent news from U.S. Ski & Snowboard that all remaining events are to be canceled as of Monday, plus numerous other factors surrounding COVID-19, plus a very unpredictable weather forecast for the coming days, the race organizing committee, jury, and representatives of U.S. Ski & Snowboard have decided to cancel this year’s U14 Eastern Championships, effective immediately.

We are grateful for your willingness to be part of the event, and though this is unfortunate news we do feel that it is the best path forward given the circumstances. If you have questions about the logistics of refunds or other arrangements, please contact the GMVS race administrator, Kirsten Andreae at [email protected]
